Honing my passion for technology, I authored a 283-page book for aspiring computer engineers. After extensive research, I immersed myself in various programming languages and made sure my material would be readily available. I donated multiple copies to local libraries and charities, promoting mentorship and growth within the tech community.

Equity and Diversity

As an advocate, I educated 30+ school members on cultural awareness and represented my school at district meetings. I created a platform for anonymous reporting of racial and ethnic bullying, facilitating the student-counselor connections. I also led awareness campaigns through my school’s media outlet.

Artificial Intelligence Based Cloud Security Device – Patent

I collaborated with 5 PhD professors on an AI cloud security device. I helped define our design, and underwent the patent process firsthand for our groundbreaking technology that detects threats in real-time, integrates the data collected with cloud platforms, and automates security responses. Our invention is recognized by the Indian Patent Office.

West Ranch Colorguard

I mastered advanced techniques in rifle, flag, and saber, which allowed my team to demonstrate strength and inspire awe with our performances. My leadership was evident in mentoring newcomers in conditioning, equipment care, and choreography. I demonstrated commitment and consistency in every practice session and throughout our competitions.

MIT - Learn to program in Python

I became proficient in fundamentals, data structures, APIs, and databases with Python, culminating in the creation of my first Python game: a variation of the classic hangman. As I completed the sections within the program, this hands-on experience transformed my theory into a functional product, enhancing my creativity and logical thinking skills.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross provides disaster relief, emergency preparedness, blood donations, and health education. It supports communities by offering life-saving assistance, training, and resources, ensuring readiness and resilience during crises.

I actively engaged in meetings, deepening my understanding of blood donation and community service. I gained practical experience through our disaster response campaigns and blood drives, which also helped me cultivate my sense of civic responsibility. I led the Great Leaders in Black History events to promote cultural awareness.

Google Developer Groups Hackathon

The GDG Hackathon welcomes all ages and technical skills, but requires a strong enthusiasm for technology, teamwork, and basic coding knowledge. Building a strong network within the GDG community and timely application are key to participation.

I learned Google's Generative AI tools and collaborated with 3 participants to develop an AI chatbot. I contributed HTML and JavaScript code. We won a 2-day hackathon with 80+ competitors, earning me a partial scholarship from Draper University. This experience deepened my understanding of software development, teamwork, and focused attention.

Bring Change to Mind

I initiated activities to combat mental health stigma and foster a healthier school environment. I tracked meeting details and attendance and partnered with regional administrators on budgets. I directed 12+ school-wide events annually, boosting engagement and advancing mental health awareness, along with monthly meetings for our 25+ club members.

Captured candid photos of schoolmates, often waiting several hours for the right moment, then skillfully retouched them in Photoshop. Crafted 20+ visually striking spreads, elevating the West Ranch 2021 yearbook's aesthetic appeal with unique, never-before-seen creatives and designs.

ID Tech - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

I collaborated with peers to learn the value of Python in creating programs with AI. I brought several image-recognition AI programs to life: Tamil letter pronunciation app and a rock, paper, scissors game. Additionally, I learned how to integrate OpenAI into my programs to create chatbots, including a mental health assistant.

Cedar Sinai Teen Volunteer Program

CS provides leading-edge technology and facilities to top-tier physicians and research scientists. Their volunteer program lets you engage with patients and healthcare staff, providing a rewarding chance to learn how a major medical center operates.

I ensured the safety and comfort of fall-risk patients, fulfilled general requests like meal delivery, and offered companionship. I supported healthcare professionals by restocking supplies and aiding patient mobility. I managed calls and executed critical actions, enhancing my ability to perform under pressure and communicate effectively.

Code Advisor - Open AI Chat Bot

Through attentive self-study, I developed a code advisor chatbot using the OpenAI API and Flutter, designed to answer coding queries and offer helpful suggestions. This project enhanced my skills in AI development, app design, and problem-solving, and also fostered my entrepreneurial spirit.

Wild Cat VIP

I helped create engaging activities and games so that my peers with special needs can also foster meaningful relationships. I dedicated time to promote these events. My work promoted equity and highlighted the importance of connections. This experience furthered my communication skills, strive against ableism, and commitment to inclusivity.

MIT - App Inventor Training

I developed fully 6 functional apps for Android phones, iPhones, and Android/iOS tablets using an intuitive, visual programming environment. I enhanced my understanding of AI's impact on voice technology by learning how to create a voice changer, standardizing Alexa's responses, and leveraging AI to refine interactions.

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Volunteering

Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia provides a prestigious service opportunity for high school students. I committed to a minimum of 200 hours over at least one year (4 hours/week), building wonderful camaraderie along the way.

I streamlined medical services by restocking and organizing wound care supplies, setting up isolation carts and rooms, and handling preliminary tasks for nursing staff. This efficiency allowed the team to focus on critical care, crucial during constant understaffing, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Math Club

I tackled various math-related competitions, such as the AMC, proving my analytical thinking, while collaboratively solving complex problems with a team of 4 other members. I utilized my knowledge and growth to mentor 15+ students in advanced algebra, geometry, and calculus, offering both crucial homework support and competition practice.

Girls Who Code

I created computer games using p5.js and JavaScript code. I mastered beginner and intermediate concepts, including the step-by-step design process and UX principles. I implemented my time management and organization skills to discover unique ways to give meaning to my games for my players and effectively deliver my projects.

Worked with club members to spearhead mock portfolio management and market data analysis. Acquired and applied vital financial principles. Monitored financial trends and news to present impactful findings and reports, elevating group expertise and fostering an interactive learning culture.
